Make-Up Lessons Policy
Student Guidelines
1. Teacher-Specific Make-Ups Only
Make-up lessons must be arranged with your own assigned teacher. Requests to make up a missed lesson with any other teacher will not be approved.
2. Choose One Slot Per Missed Lesson
For each lesson you miss, you may select only one available make-up slot offered by your teacher. Selecting multiple slots for a single missed lesson will result in the request being declined.
3. Make-Up Allocation
Each student is entitled to two make-up lessons per term.
• These may be used across the current and following two terms if needed.
4. Group/Partner Class Make-Ups
Group or partner classes receive one make-up allocation.
• This should be arranged directly with your teacher.
• There is also an option to attend your make-up lesson via Zoom if agreed.
5. Submit Within Term
All make-up requests must be submitted within the term in which the absence occurred.
6. Notification Requirements
A minimum of 24-hour notice is required to notify your teacher of an absence.
• Absences without 24-hour notice will not qualify for a make-up, unless a valid medical certificate (MC) is provided.
7. Late Cancellations
Cancellations made within 24 hours of the lesson will require a valid MC for the missed lesson to be eligible for a make-up.
8. Expiry of Make-Ups
Make-ups that are not used within two terms will be forfeited.
9. High-Demand Time Slots
Make-up lessons booked during high-demand times (e.g., weekends) may be rescheduled if those slots are later assigned to regular permanent lessons.
10. No Rescheduling of Make-Ups
Once a make-up lesson is confirmed, it will not be rescheduled.
Make-ups that are booked but not attended will be forfeited.
